2 april 2016

It always amazes me how small the world is.  Often I'll meet a couple and before we know it we're making connections and sharing familiar stories of those we know.  Little did I know how close my circle was to this lovely couple through work, leisure, family and friends our paths have intertwined ever since.  Amy and Luke chose Brindabella Gardens to exchange their vows, where the pavilion provided the perfect alternative to the garden option on the usually scorching hot autumn day.

THE PROPOSAL
How did it all come about? After a few false starts during a Friday date night, Luke finally asked the next morning whilst having a lazy sleep in. Very casual and very much Luke’s style.

THE WEDDING DETAILS
Ceremony Venue: Brindabella Country Gardens Roses.
Sylvia was brilliant to deal with, giving us a tour of the garden when we first enquired. The price is very reasonable and the gardens on our wedding day were beautiful, we have so many great photos from different locations around the gardens. There was no pressure to leave after the ceremony and we could take our time with our guests and photographer.

Reception Venue: Inbound at Toowoomba Railway Station
Meredith and Teresa were fabulous, the food and service was excellent, everyone had the best time at our wedding and Inbound was a large part of this. The room at Inbound is a beautiful heritage listed room that catered for our 120 guests really well. I highly recommend all brides have a look at Inbound.

Photographer: Bronwyn from Wild Whimsy Photography
Bron’s wedding package is the best one available in our local area. We had a free engagement shoot, no time limit, hundreds of beautiful photos, a photo booth that was an absolute hit with our guests, a beautiful large colour album, wall prints and much more.  For Bronwyn's blog and more shots of Amy and Luke's wedding day - CLICK HERE

Gown: Valentine Bride Studio, Margaret Street, Toowoomba QLD 4350
I had hundreds of comments on my dress, I absolutely loved it. Jacqueline and her mum from Valentine made “The Dress” experience super easy and I’m very grateful.

Suits: Ferrari Formal Wear Ruthven St, Toowoomba QLD 4350

Makeup: Marley Hammond Mark Up Artist and Kady Capewell (Formally Kady Berry)

Hair: Michelle Gladstone (My cousin) and Hair by Kelly Michelle
Very talented ladies, on our wedding day we had up to 15 ladies at our house all having hair and makeup done. Marley, Kady, Michelle and Kelly all were brilliant, there was no stress, everyone loved their look and we were all ready 30 minutes early.

Flowers: Premier Cane & Flowers (The cane man)
My flowers were brilliant, the cane man helped me create the perfect bequest and for a great price, plus I have them to keep (Being silk).

Cake: Artisan Cake Couture
Our cake was delicious, Deb created our cake after I showed her a picture that I found on Pinterest.

Car Hire: Chrysler Limo Hire - Brisbane & South East Queensland
http://chryslerlimos.com.au/index.html
After a lot of research it was a lot cheaper to hire a limo from Brisbane and pay travel. Our driver was great fun, he had fun times and even indulged our request to drive through Highfields Tavern Bottle shop to re-stock supplies.

Decorations: Toowoomba White Wedding and Event Hire

Music: Muzic 4 U / Peter Vernon
Peter is a character, when you hire Peter for your wedding you also receive free dance lessons every Thursday night for your family and friend. I really struggled to choose all of the music and Peter took the time to walk me through this process and helped me with the perfect choices.

WEDDING SONGS
Procession – Thousand Years – Piano version (Bridesmaids) and Bridal Chorus by Chris Wrisner – Piano version (Amy)
Signing – I won’t give up Jason Mraz and just the way you are Boyce Avenue
Recession –This will be Natalie Cole
Bridal Waltz –When you say nothing at all Ronan Keating
Others – I loved her first Heartland (Father/Daughter dance)

FAVOURITE WEDDING DAY MOMENT
The entire day, we had the best wedding, so much fun. Nothing was stressful or went terribly wrong. Everyone had a brilliant day

WHAT DID YOU VALUE MOST ABOUT HEATHER AS YOUR CELEBRANT?
Heather you are a natural, I loved that you are our celebrant. You made the paperwork side very easy and not stressful at all. You are extremely flexible with meeting up, you helping get our official wedding certificate within a few short weeks, you help with music choices, ceremony rehearsals, ceremony format/wording. Communication was super easy with emails and teats always being replied to very promptly. The fact that you married a bunch of our wedding guests also speaks towards how great everyone thinks you are.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLE’S TO BE
Attending the local bridal expos was a great way to find different supplies, have a look at their products and take advantage of special.
