JAYNE + ANDREW

5 April 2014

I'll never forget the phone call from Jayne, excitedly sharing her news that Andrew had proposed. Having watched Jayne grow into a beautiful woman over the years and knowing how treasured she is by her parents my heart was full. Jayne and Andrew are a couple whose subtle presence is an inspiration to those around them. They truly love one another and is was such a privilege to witness their ceremony and be a part of their wedding day.

THE PROPOSAL
It was the Labour Day long weekend in October 2013. Andrew had organised a weekend away at Coolum (Sunshine Coast). We were having drinks on our balcony, listening to some live music after a beautiful Thai dinner, when he got down on one knee and asked if I would be his wife. Of course, I said yes.

FAVOURITE WEDDING DAY MOMENT
We enjoyed the ceremony, seeing each other for the first time, the emotion, making promises to each other and marking the start of our lives together.

WHAT DID YOU VALUE MOST ABOUT HEATHER AS YOUR CELEBRANT?
Heather was so organised and supportive right from our first meeting. Her assistance with the ceremony was invaluable and the template she provided made it so easy. She was very patient and responded to our numerous emails, changes and additions very quickly. Andrew appreciated her calming influence and assistance with the buttonholes while waiting for my arrival, and her insistence that Jayne was actually going to show up. Heather's delivery of the ceremony was beautiful, not too lengthy and with little personal touches that made it ours. We had many of our guests praise Heather and our ceremony.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLE’S TO BE
Be organised and write lists.
Allocate last minute jobs to people you trust then don't worry about them.
Enjoy the day, things will fall into place and if they don't - it doesn't matter.
